GLOBAL GRADY SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication strongly encourages students to study abroad and participate in domestic field studies as a part of their coursework. The intent behind these programs is to help students gain skills that they otherwise wouldn’t inside a normal classroom setting. One of these programs includes the ADPR NYC Maymester Program. I was accepted to go on this program for May 2019. I had the opportunity to tour numerous advertising and public relations agencies throughout New York City as well as connect with UGA Alumni through networking events. I was one of two students, out of twenty who were accepted into the program, selected to represent Grady College as a Social Media Intern.

PROJECTS

The task was to create social media content to be posted on Global Grady study abroad platforms while in New York City on the field study and for the remainder of the academic year after the conclusion of the program. I took photos and videos throughout the week in the city that fit the brand of Grady College and overall represented Grady in a positive light.
