BIOGRAPHY
Kristin Jaspers is from Long Island, New York, and began her training at Platinum Performance Dance Academy under the direction of Lora Ayala. She began training at the age of four and performed as a company dancer until the age of seventeen.
As a dedicated student in the University of Georgia Department of Dance, she performed in the Young Choreographer’s Series for five consecutive years and Spring Dance Concert for three. These companies performed at numerous conferences across the east coast of the United States, including the American College Dance Association Southeast Conference. In addition to these projects, Jaspers was also a member of a pre-professional company, CORE Contemporary and Aerial Dance, under the direction of Bala Sarasvati during the 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 seasons.
In addition to her skills in Contemporary and Aerial dance, Jaspers also loves Tap. She taught Tap at various studios throughout the last 5 years. In the Summer of 2018, she worked under Colleen Barnes as an Intern for Joffrey South. Additionally, Jaspers has choreographed for the Young Choreographer’s Series, Sigma Delta Tau Greek Grind for Delta Phi Epsilon’s team, and the University of Georgia’s Club Dance Team. She is excited to see what the future brings and is looking forward to continuing to grow as an artist.
